David J. Prothero, CPA, CFP^®, MBA
President

David Prothero has over a decade of experience in tax consulting, investment consulting, and financial planning and founded the firm in 2003. Previously, he served as Director of Financial Management at Federal Street Advisors, an independent financial planning and investment consulting firm. In his four years at Federal Street, David oversaw the broad financial, tax, and estate planning affairs of the firm's largest individual clients.

David received his CPA license in 1997 while working for Coopers & Lybrand, LLP (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP) in the audit and tax departments. In his nearly four years at C&L, he worked with corporate and individual clients and advised executive clientele in the areas of stock option planning, compensation planning, tax minimization, benefits consulting, and estate planning.

David is a CPA and a CFP ^® (Certified Financial Planner™) professional and is licensed and practicing as a sole proprietor, but does not provide CPA services on behalf of MML Investors Services, LLC.  He is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. David received his MBA and Masters of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University, and graduated from the University of Vermont with honors in Economics. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
